Saturday Morning

It’s just after 9 am and everyone in my family is sick to different degrees. We also are starving for breakfast. While we imagine pancakes, waffles, berries, and bacon, none of this seems forthcoming. Hmmm, what are the other options? Cereal is always there like a good friend, though one that always repeats himself. Also, we could venture to have snacks like chips and old apples but somehow that doesn’t seem worth getting out of bed for. As it stands now, we will probably lay in bed for a while longer complaining about our predicament. As the parent in this situation, it would seem appropriate that I would rise to the occasion and take care of my families’ dietary needs. But no, I will lay around and complain along with the reset of them. It’s take care of yourself around here world, sick or not.
